Newport is preparing for one of its biggest and most exciting weekends of the year as the Newport Marathon Festival returns on Sunday 19 April 2026.
Thousands of runners and spectators will descend on the city for a fantastic celebration of sport, community and local pride – and Pinkmove is proud to be part of the action, cheering on runners throughout the day.
The marathon route showcases the very best of Newport, passing iconic landmarks including the Transporter Bridge, Newport Castle and the regenerated riverfront, before heading out across the scenic Gwent Levels. The atmosphere throughout the city is electric, with local communities, businesses and supporters lining the streets to encourage runners every step of the way.
